Optician Magazine Awards 2010

Every year the Optician Magazine supported by the optical trade companies nominate various opticans that have performed outstandingly in the last year. I suppose that it is like the 'Oscars' but not quite so glitzy!

Last year I was nominated as 'UK Fashion Practice of the Year' but didn't quite get on the podium.

This year I was nominated for three awards which was fantastic.

'UK Technology Practice of the Year'

'UK Family Practice of the Year'

UK Optical Team of the Year'

I dusted off the posh frock and headed to London on the 7th April with Mandie to learn if we have actually won the award. We got to the last five practices nationally but didn't get on the podium. It is however gratifying that all our hard work and commitment to quality service and patient care is being recognised. I couldn't do it on my own and therefore thank my staff and Bob and the family for all their love and support.
